Subject: Minutes of meeting on 28.01.03 Date: Fri, 31 Jan 2003 08:19:21 +0100 (CET) From: Friedrich DYDAK To: ps-proj-hadroprod@listbox.cern.ch Minutes of the HARP group meeting of 28.01.2003 =============================================== 1. A. Guglielmi: Milano and Padova are in the final stages of the stand-alone laser calibration of the TOF wall (which takes care of -small - daily variations). The next step will be the time-of-flight calibration with beam muons w.r.t. TOF-B. The test-production of calibration n-tuples is being checked by D. Gibin. 2. J. Wotschack: For the deep-water electron analysis, a first data reduction was made by C. Wiebusch. Based solely on beam and ITC timing information, a rejection factor of 500 was achieved. Eye-scanning of candidates has started, several interesting candidates were found (signature: tracks from the primary vertex, validated by in-time RPC hits; a second low-momentum track emanating from a different vertex at a later time). 3. V. Ivanchenko: once the code for n-tuple production in v5r10 is validated and released, the release of GEANT 5.0 (which has much better hadronic production models) will follow suite. 4. C. Wiebusch: PCHARP01 being integrated into the off-line system, access will be possible again within few days. This will make possible to complete the data quality campaign. 4. L. Linssen and J. Wotschack: preparing a proposal for the layout of the HARP Technical Publication. (Minutes written by F. Dydak)
